VERONA: Curaçao’s Amateur Radio Association

Welcome to VERONA, Curaçao’s amateur radio association and a proud member of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU).

Founded in 1948, VERONA has a long and rich history in amateur radio. The name VERONA originates from its original Dutch name, “Vereniging Radio Onderzoek Nederlandse Antillen.” Following the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles, the name was proudly retained.

Today, VERONA brings together a community of around 40 active members who share a passion for radio communication. The association organizes regular meetings and events and plays an important role in public safety as an ESF-2 emergency communications partner.
